Talent Insight Solutions – helping people understand people 

Anna and Kylie are the founding partnership of Talent Insight Solutions.  Whilst the partnership commenced in 2019, the partnership extends beyond the business all the way back to high-school.

The organisation brings together evidenced based research and business experience in start-ups and corporate environments to provide you with years of learning, growth, business acumen and experience.

Kylie Ellwood

CO-FOUNDER & DIRECTOR

Co-Founder of Talent Insight Solutions and several family owned businesses (Ellwood Installations, XFire Games). Kylie has a passion for learning and understanding human behaviour and how this impacts in our work. She has 25 years experience in corporate account management, strategic visioning, business management, small business systems, tools and processes, coaching, training and development.

Organisations teach skills to work rather than develop individuals to strive. My purpose is to assist organisations in managing staff retention, engagement and growth by identifying, developing and nurturing their people. Her passion is working with individuals and teams to provide insight into the connection to self. Understanding, educating and adapting emotions and behaviours to enhance recruitment, engagement, retention and growth. Kylie works with organisations utilising a range of tools to provide real time insights and data to identify gaps, map training requirements, training design and delivery aligned with the corporate strategy.

Her areas of expertise include Individual, Business, Executive Coaching and Mentoring, Corporate Training design and delivery, Keynote Human Behaviour Speaker, Customer Service, Sales, Leadership Training and Start-up Business Strategy. 

Her professional qualifications include: Master Practitioner of NLP, Master Coach, Master Ericksonian Hypnosis, Cert III – Business (Office Administration), Cert IV Business, Cert IV Diploma of Life Coaching, Master Trainer of Extended DISC.

Design and delivery of workshops, training, one-on-one coaching, organisational surveys and development consultancy to companies such as Serco Sodexo, Suncorp Bank, James Cook University, Queensland Rail, Achieve Recruitment, GT Homes, Learning Partnerships, Financial Directions NQ, HFC Bank, International Centre for Democratic Partnerships (ICDP) and Affordable Staff. Learning Solutions Manager for a training organisation managing a sales team, trainers, consultants and organisations to design training programs. Clients included: Queensland Rail, QBank, Isuzu, Logan City Council, Brisbane City Council, Daikin and other Queensland Government organisations.

Dr Anna Blackman

CO-FOUNDER & DIRECTOR

Dr Anna Blackman is the Co-Founder and Director of Talent Insight Solutions and former Associate Professor of Business, James Cook University (JCU). She specialises in the areas of Business Management, Human Resource Management, Human Behaviour and Communication, Coaching and Mentoring, Leadership and Technology for Innovative Teaching. Her expertise extend into E-Learning, Career Development, Coaching, Facilitating, and Research Design. She has over 60 academic and practitioner published outputs. 

While making waves in academia, Anna’s true love is in the hands-on, industry-based side of her work where theory comes alive in the realities of organisational practice. She also has a decade of experience in running and managing small businesses. Her goal is always to help organisations find the best way to develop people and link them to the skills they need for success. Anna holds a PhD in business coaching, and is an Extended DISC Consultant, an Australian HR Institute (AHRI) Certified Practitioner Fellow, AHRI Queensland State Councillor, Future Shapers Alumni (ANU), Associate Fellow Australian Institute of Management (AFAIM), Academy of Management member and is the Vice President of Research for the EMCC Asia Pacific Region.

Jenni is a highly skilled and credentialled coach with over 15 years of experience creating organisational Learning and Development strategies and facilitating professional development programs. Jenni specialises in the leadership development areas, including strategic thinking, emotional intelligence, behaviour patterns, personal alignment to organisational strategy, and fostering high-performance teams and cultures. Jenni is passionate about coaching and developing people to create positive change through collaborative working models, cultivating strategic partnerships with stakeholders and internal subject matter experts. Arch Downie

Consultant & Coach

Growing up on a dairy farm in the Derwent Valley in Tasmania, Arch quickly learned the value of learning and development to achieve goals. Representing his school as a prefect and captain of cricket, he also excelled at AFL football, tennis, basketball, athletics and squash. After spending four months travelling and working in youth camps in Canada, after leaving school, he joined NZI Insurance (now CGU Insurance) to build knowledge and skills in the industry, along with the ability to lead and develop people. Arch spent 23 years with this company in regional and rural areas of Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia before his final role as State Manager in Queensland. Retrenched in 2011, it was the start of his personal development journey, although he didn’t know it at the time. After working in health and fitness and then as an insurance broker, Arch stepped away from corporate life to build own business doing the thing he loves the most – working with people to help them achieve their potential. Arch is an effective facilitator, speaker, coach and mentor and will work with you to shift your thinking and achieve your goals.

A former CEO, Jenn chose to start her own business consulting company so that she could bring the same success to many businesses rather than her employers.  Using experiential skills developed during her own leadership journey she provides transformative Culture and strengthen your Leadership skills.

Nicole Allen

Nicole is a coach with a passion for seeing leaders achieve sustainable professional and personal growth. Her gift is in giving her clients the safe space required to develop awareness of their leadership – how effective it is – and how it is being experienced by the world around them.  With greater awareness, practical tools and new skills Nicole’s clients are able to move forward and embrace their leadership with clarity and confidence. Self-awareness of leadership effectiveness is a crucial element in achieving sustainable commercial and cultural results for every business leader (and organisation) and this is the value that Nicole delivers to her clients.

Nicole began her coach development journey with a National coaching group in 2007 and has been building her own Leadership and Executive Coaching practice since 2014. She brings her background of Human Resources and Management including leadership roles in process improvement, quality and innovation into her coaching practice today. Her clients describe her as warm, engaging and empathetic, a great listener who always knows the right things to ask with “amazing” insight and wisdom.

Nicole’s coaching offers a structured approach working towards agreed coaching objectives that creates both support and accountability for clients, offering authentic opportunities for reflection and supporting clarity in their choices. Nicole works with a diverse range of clients from emerging leaders to senior executives in all levels of Government and NFP’s, corporates, mid-tier management and small to medium sized businesses. She understands the strategic and operational complexities of business, currently serving as a non-Executive Director of an Advisory Board for a medium sized South East Qld based business and stepping in to guide the Management team and act as Interim CEO during extended periods. Nicole is an accredited European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) Senior Practitioner Coach. EMCC holds the gold standard globally for the coaching profession and Nicole shares her depth of coaching experience in a voluntary capacity, as Vice-President of Accreditation EMCC Asia Pacific Region, supporting other coaches to achieve accreditation with this esteemed coaching body. She is certified with the Leadership Circle, Global Leadership Wellbeing Survey (GLWS) and Glow Up (Transition/Career Coaching).
